This is the First Page of the Blood Sugar Health Educational Module

This Blood Sugar Health Educational Module contains a series of articles that will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of how Blood Sugar Health is maintained by the Glucose-Insulin System (GIS), and how Insulin Resistance and Type 2 Diabetes may develop if the GIS is over-burdened by excessive glucose levels.
The Module will then describe how the Glucose-Insulin System (GIS) prevents high blood sugar, as well as how the GIS prevents low blood sugar. It will then detail how stress affects the GIS, and the role that the GIS plays in weight gain and obesity. The ultimate consequences of uncontrolled blood glucose levels, such as nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), cardiac and metabolic diseases (Cardiometabolic Disease) and disease of the small blood vessels (Microvascular Disease) will also be explained. The end of the series will present therapeutic goals that support blood sugar health and help prevent the of consequences of uncontrolled blood glucose. These goals may be attained through simple lifestyle changes, practical dietary modifications, and Hormone Specific™ herbal therapies.
