Hormone dysfunction can interfere with hormone health even when there is not a hormone deficiency. The ability of any hormone to act on a specific cell is dependent on the health of cell, including adequate amounts of required nutrients, correct fatty acid composition of the cell membrane, and the health of hormone receptors on the cell. Nutrient and omega-3 supplementation is helpful, but specific herbal extracts are required to improve receptor function. Cell receptor function is improved by the specific actions of these exclusive formulations which act as phytohormones, phytohormonogenics, and functional mimetics of hormones as described at Phytotherapeutic Management of Endocrine Dysfunction.
The Hormone Specific Formulations™ were developed by Dr. Joseph J Collins, RN, ND, to improve the function of specific hormones, based on Dr. Collins’ phytocrine™ model of phytotherapy. Their development is based on years of clinical experience, validated by review of published international scientific/medical research. Examples of how these formulations are used can be seen in the Protocols.
The Hormone Specific Formulations™ can be used to effectively restore proper hormone function in many conditions which are caused by hormone dysfunction. The following is a list of protocols for each Hormone Specific Formulation™:
